I know there was a webinar that I listened to already. I can't seem to find it again and right now really don't have the patience to listen to it all again. My son had a fall yesterday and broke both bones in his lower left leg. I just want to know if someone could just tell me what I need to be looking for just in acase. I remember some but if someone could do that it would be a big help.

Thank you

Hello Janine-

The major symptoms to look out for are breathing difficulties and neurological changes (confusion, headaches, seizures, coma). If rapid respiratory and neurologic deterioration occurs after fracture or trauma, fat embolism syndrome should be considered.

Here is the link to the webinar if you'd like to review any of the information discussed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD1CRlvlG8A

Symptom information starts about 29 minutes and 27 seconds into the presentation. This link should take you directly to that slide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD1CRlvlG8A#t=29m27s

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have anymore questions! (800-714-5437 or info@ParentProjectMD.org)

And know that we're working with medical professionals to develop information sheets on FES that we will disperse as soon as they are available!
