For interested families who are unable to attend the PPMD Connect Conference there will be an informative Webcast on June 24th from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM from a panel discussion concerning the drug development process.  This broadcast is hosted by the Parkinson's Action Network. 

NINDS Director Dr. Story Landis is one of several distinguished panelists who will be presenting at the event.  Dr. Landis oversees the Muscular Dystrophy Coordinating Committee (MDCC) which PPMD is a member.

The webcast will be broadcasting a live discussion on the topic of the drug development process.  Go to the Parkinson's Action Network on June 24th to tune in on your home or office computer: http://www.parkinsonsaction.org  The information is not specific to one disorder, yet will cover many topics related to the development process.

The "Emerging Therapies: From Microscope to Marketplace" interactive Webcast is an educational event about the drug development process. The panel
features members of the scientific community, each involved in a different step
of the drug development pipeline. The panel discussion will feature short
presentations by each speaker followed by questions from the Webcast audience,
the live audience, and the moderator. This discussion will explore the entire
drug development pipeline process, not focus solely on Parkinson's disease,
with a robust discussion about the stages of drug development and how they
interact.
