Developing a better treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy

Robert Barker describes his work investigating new therapies involving use of the naturally occurring amino acid taurine which is abundant in the brain, heart and musculature of the body. Results in animal models show decreased muscular damage due to the disorder. In addition the use of taurine comes without side effects.
