My 11 year old son with DMD has been taking prednisone for 6 years now.  We want to switch to Deflazacort.  Xavier usually takes 5mg/2xday, on Saturday's and Sunday's only.  Does anyone have any dosing advice?

Depends on what you're looking for.

The equivalent amount would probably be about  6mg taken on the same schedule.

The standards of care says that they should be on .9mg/kg/day of Deflazacort, which is roughly what our kids are on.
