I am giving my 8 year old son One Daily For Women since it contains more Calcium and Vit D,so is it okay with those ingredients in this product:
I mainly have concern about Iron content!Please,your feedback
|Serving Size : 1 Tablet|
|Amount Per Serving||% Daily value*|
I have 2 boys with dmd . Ihave both of them on oscal 2 am and 2 pm , their bones were weakened from prednisone but the calcium has actually made their bones denser. My oldest had suffered from fractures from falling, but has since we started Oscal. I think it is 500mg calcium w/ 400IU D. (might be other way around). Good Luck and God bless our children ....please.
I would run this by a nutritionist. There are some things in the adult vitamins that ARE too high for any kid.
My personal favorites that were approved by my son's nutritionist:
Protandim - great for muscle recovery and reduction of muscle crams. Email fellow DMD mom, Kimberly Procko <email@example.com> for additional details. Her proceeds benefit CureDuchenne - 5% - 9% of all product sales go to fund Duchenne research through Cure Duchenne.
JuicePlus http://www.liisalovesjuiceplus.com/ (all DMD families can buy this from me with all proceeds donating to PPMD. I do not keep a dime of the share I receive. For each paying adult, one child gets a free supply for up to 3 years as long as the adult continues for that entire time. Catch is you get to fill out a quarterly survey - that's it.) This has boosted our immune system's ability to fight off colds. We are not cold-free but the colds are very infrequent now and Connor has managed to avoid some of the big, bad cooties that come through public schools.
