Our PT saw Danny last week (age 6) and suggested that when we stretch him to put on his knee immobilizers. this way he cannot bend at the knee when stretching and it provides for an awesome stretch without all the wiggles and needing that third hand to support the knee and lift the leg and keep the hip in alignment. We have been doing this for almost one week and we saw her again today and she said she can tell a big difference in how he feels when being stretched.
we got the knee immobilizers from sammons preston at her request a couple of months back to have him where for a half hour a day with his night splints while he watches TV. he sits with his back straight against the couch and this provides a long hamstring stretch. just wanted to share!

Hey Jenny,
Can you post a photo of the knee immobilizers either on or off Danny? THanks!
hi Jenny ,Nicole n me want to know where u get knee immobilizers, rich
HI Rich,
we oedered them from Sammons preston online. they are the pediatric snoopy ones
Knee immoblizers are GREAT! Our son Nixon had hamstring lengthening to release tightness and has worn knee immobilizers for several hours a day since and they are working wonders. We also stretch with them on.

We use the knee immobilizers along with a nada chair. This stretches the hamstrings and the heel cords.
That is too cool!!

How about the nada chair? Where do you find that?
Deanne, got it online @ http://www.nadachair.com/

I believe it's the sportbacker model. It has optional "stretch straps", but for kids this size you don't need them.
Our doc gave us a prescription for one when I asked.

Christine
That is awesome!
Hi

I live in India and wish to order the nada chair and the knee immobilisers for my son. I will be visiting US sometime next year to see Dr wong. I will be staying for some part of my journey in New york. I need help with the following

1. How can i get the two there. I am new to the country all together
2. If i order online and have the two delivered at the New York address and i simply pick the same up on my way up... how do i know the sizes.... i mean how will i know if the one that i am purchasing for my son will really fit him. He is 115 cms tall and is rather skinny...and his thigh is around 30 cms in circumference.

Any ideas on this will be helpful!

Thanks
