FYI, Michigan has an proposal on the ballot next month to overturn the state's current total ban on embryonic stem cell research. Michigan is one of the 5 most restrictive states in the country in regard to this.

One of the advocacy groups promoting the ballot proposal is featuring a young man with DMD on their webpage. Here's the link. http://www.stemcellresearchformichigan.com/index.php

Many of the letters to the editor in the Detroit newspapers cite the lack of any treatments or cures having been developed from embryonic stem cells as the reason to vote against it.

If you know any voters in the State of Michigan, please encourage them to vote YES on ballot proposal 2.
