Hauppauge High School Baseball along with the Middle School Program and the Hauppauge Little lLeague are dedicated to raising money for cancer on behalf of Courtney Tomkin, and Muscular Dystrophy on behalf of Nick Sicoli. Courtney was a student in the HHS Class of 2009 who tragically passed away from brain cancer in December 2008. She was very good friends with many of our baseball players. Nick is a 6th grade student suffering from Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. A progressive muscle disorder that causes loss of muscle function and independence. To date, there is no cure or treatment to stop the progression of Duchennes. We are seeking donations from the community to raffle off during our event. For example: Electronics, Gift Baskets, Gift Certificates, or items we could use to make a gift basket. We are hoping to sell thousands of raffles - $5 each or 5/$20. All of the items will be raffled off during the game on May 18th. If you have items to donate, or would like to help with the event please contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or MaryEllen Sicoli at email@example.com. We will be donating all proceeds to Courtney’s Making Headway Foundation and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD).
Thank you for your help, We hope you can stop by on the 18th for this terrific event. Nick will be throwing the first pitch!
