Event Description

A world-class educational event for all NMD's with a focus on B/DMD, the third National Conference hosted by Duchenne Foundation (formerly PPA) , this time in partnership with INMR at Childrens' Hospital Westmead. The program features Jeff Chamberlain (USA), Prof Kate Bushby (UK), Jos Hendricksen (NL) and many more international and national experts. Hands on workshops and breakout sessions. Call for Poster abstracts close 16/10/09. It is time the Duchenne community in Australia update and embrace in Sydney 2010. First chance since Brisbane 2006! Plan early to learn how to help your boy(s), patients, clients, students be the best they can be in a brighter future.

Delegates might want to pre-sell some conference raffle tickets to family and friends (3 for $5) or bring loose change for our raffle, when you see Sarah? I uploaded a photo of Sarah - an amazing handpainted reborn doll by Margaret Mousa. We also have we have an indigenous painting, a $200 hydrotherapy equipment voucher from Peppertown AND not least a Madison resort stay for 2 nights in the blue mountains as major prizes.

Comment by Deb Robins on January 4, 2010 at 7:48am: Early bird deadline extended to Jan 16 because of the busy Xmas season. 10% accommodation rebate available from the Hotels Combined search engine (see accommodation page). Better get in fast and book your hotel as the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras is on Saturday night Feb 27th - thanks for the heads up on that big event Pam! But I think TABF will be bigger - although not so many sequins. ;-)

Note that we are covering the major NMD's in consideration for the diverse clientele of our conference partner, the INMR, Children's Hospital at Westmead. However, the focus remains on the most common - B/DMD.
