The Life without Limits neuromuscular conference provides an opportunity for families affected by neuromuscular conditions, clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals to get together, share progress and ideas and participate in informative breakout and training sessions.
Our conference theme, Life without Limits, is about empowering families through knowledge about the rare conditions they live with, supporting clinicians and researchers to make the best choices for their patients, who are often experts on their own particular condition, and engendering tūmanako / hope.
Beneath this overall theme, three sub-themes have been developed with each involving key-note presenters and speakers of excellent calibre. These sub-themes are:
This conference is a joint initiative between the Muscular Dystrophy Association of NZ and the Australasian Neuromuscular Network.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association of NZ (MDA) is a support organisation for people living with a range of neurological and muscular conditions including muscular dystrophies and inherited neuropathies as well as ataxias and spastic parapareses. Visit the website www.mda.org.nz
The Australasian Neuromuscular Network (ANN) is a cohesive, integrated neuromuscular network which enables people to work together across Australia and New Zealand, for the well-being of patients. Its goal is to ensure excellence in diagnostic methods and clinical management, and equal access to clinical trials and new therapies, for all individuals in Australia and New Zealand affected by neuromuscular disorders. Visit the website, www.ann.org.au
Together we look forward to welcoming you to Auckland in April 2015.
