About AJ: A.J. Puricelli is a 16 year old young man from St. Louis, MO who loves Tony Stewart, the St. Louis Cardinals, Despicable Me and coloring. He has an infectious laugh and enjoys playing with his four little dogs. A.J.’s presence makes his classmates more compassionate, his family stronger and his school community better educators. A.J. has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (Duchenne). We have hope for A.J.
AJ was diagnosed with Duchenne in early childhood. AJ has endured a gross amount of doctors appointments, tests, therapies, surgeries and various other treatments including the use of oral medications to slow the progression of the disease.
