2012 Advocacy Conference

Come and advocate for Duchenne directly with Members of Congress. Our annual Advocacy Conference continue to yield results for the Duchenne community. Over the last ten years Advocates have helped to maintain or increase budgets at the National Institutes of Health and Center for Disease Control for Duchenne related programs.
 

Actions by Advocates in the Duchenne community have helped change the world of Duchenne. Advocates played a pivotal role in ensuring that a standard of care be established for all those diagnosed with Duchenne or Becker. That standard of care (published in Lancet) has been taken worldwide and  translated into a number of different languages.
 

We must continue to raise our voices on Capitol Hill, educate Members of Congress, help to maintain funding levels for critical duchenne programs, and never stop until the day we end Duchenne. We hope you can join us in DC.
